Beijing, teahouse theaters

Teahouse theaters are fascinating. Here you can sit and snack, that's not so fascinating indeed, but you can watch, that's the interesting part, performances of the Beijing Opera, hallucinating and sedating music and traditional chinese martial arts. There are not so many places where you can enjoy those performances, all in one. The best of all is Lao She Tea House, located in the Dawancha Building, where for 40 or 130Y you can see a variety show of opera, martial arts and acrobatics. The schedule is 2:30 p.m. to 7:40 p.m. and the afternoon performances are cheaper.
