This big historical "city", officially named the Gugong or Imperial Palace, was a symbol and the true heart of the capital of China. It is one of the greatest atractions in this part of the world. I was in summer there and the schedule was between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. and I payed only 60Y for the tour and for the special exhibitions. I was interested in every feature presented and for detailed explanations I took "the audio tour" available at the main gate for only 30Y. From the airport I got there with a cab, because the alternate ways such as bus or metro are way too stressful. If you are planning a trip in Beijing you must go there!!!
