Pickpockets in Beijing

Unfortunately that is true. Especially in the crowded areas - and Beijing is practically a huge crowded area :) and in the public transport - watch out in the buses , you must be very careful with your belongings. I had a friend whose purse was stolen and who had no passport as a consequence and you can imagine what a nightmare that can become
