You could go to the Guangdong Museum of Art if art is what you are looking for. By following Yanjiang Lu to the east you'll find Er Sha Island.
This island holds this beautifull museum which is open to the public from Tuesday so Sunday from 9am to 5pm. The entrance fee is 15Y. The museum hosts one of China's largest collections of contemporary art.
