It's not that hard. Only 20 km north of the city centre lies the new Baiyun International airport. From the aiport you can take the airport bus to the China Southern offices on Huanshi Zhong Lu for 16 Y or you take a taxi which would cost about 100Y. If you have time you can take a 20 minute ride with the ferries from Hong kong to southwest Guangzhou. Peace!
