freeform's question:
I long for a lakeside afternoon, in a grassy unspoiled nature spot. Does the description match any corner in Hangzhou?(give a different answer) .
Luckily, yes, the West lake is exactly your still corner, I'm amazed you didn't hear of it by now. It's a blue-colored gleaming mirror, encircled by a miraculous number of tree and bush species. Willows make the perfect setting for book-diving, while the blossom of peach in spring or the orange acacia in autumn make it a scented realm. In July and August it's covered by lotus, and the plum survives through winter. Go have a tea at the surrounding pavilions or hire a boat to float till the stone pagodas on the island!
