I want to know more about hotels that resemble the old China here in Shanghai.(give a different answer) .
If you are looking for old world hotels you must be a bit of a big spender. The grand old world hotels of Shanghai are a part of its heritage and cost around 120$ per night. Anyway the famous Peace Hotel will give you the taste you are looking for and will give you a good glimpse of old Shanghai with its lobby's Art Deco interiors, deluxe suites with original decor and illustrious guest list including Charlie Chaplin and Noel Coward.
