There is a street named Huaihai Lu in the French Concession district, there are a lot of fashionable boutiques and hair salons. The best one is Yuppie's Hair Salon (just east of Maoming Lu). I think that Yuppie's attention to customers would put most Western salons to shame. A haircut, two pre- and post-haircut shampoos, and an extended half-body massage, all for around 70 yuan.
