The Garden and Jinjiang complex - glimpses of Shanghai's past luxuries

Posted 1 year ago by adonis in response to mr.pink's question: I'm making a photo collection of buildings from places I visit, which buildings shall I not miss in Shanghai? (give a different answer) .

On Maoming Lu just north of Huaihai Lu there are the two plushest hotels in Shanghai: the Garden and the Jinjiang. Believe me, they are worth a visit for glimpses of past luxuries.
Also Jinjiang includes the Grosvenor Residence complex - the most fashionable and pricey address in pre-World War II Shanghai.
