Just south of the Suzhou Creek, northwestern Shanghai boasts a very important Shanghai Buddhist site - Yufo Si. It's a kind of monastery that has two magnificent statues of Buddha, each of these carved from a single piece of white jade. If you heard about Temple of the Jade Buddha - it is here.
