Don't worry, it's not so hard to find your way around the city.You just need to be patient. To the north of Suzhou Creek you'll find Shanghai Station - the main train station. From there you can take the metro line #1 to any station you like or you could also take a taxi which is not likely to cost more than 15-20 Y depending on where you need to go.
