The perfect place for you would be the Dragon hotel in Shenzhen which is located right at the train station on Jianshe Lu. They have rooms of reasonable value and that are smartly furnished. Also the huge cantonese restaurant inside has good dim sum. A room will cost you between 200 and 300 Y per night so you can call it mid-priced. For rezervations you can call ahead at 0755/82329228.
