Gardens in Suzhou

Posted 1 year ago by posteye in response to tramo's question: Wanna relax, fed up with schools and jobs. Any idea for an afternoon in Suzhou? (give a different answer) .

There's the two government-protected gardens, Garden of the Humble Administrator and Lingering Garden. The former is the largest, a 10 acres grassland with arched bridges curling over marshy lakes and pools. All dark thoughts disappear while strolling through the stone alleys, in this Venice of the East, how this canal-sided city is nicknamed. There are around 100 gardens in the town and as many silk factories.
