Guiyuan Si in Wuhan

Posted 1 year ago by rocker in response to avatar fhonny's question: I'm in Wuhan for 2 weeks. Know of any monasteries I can visit? (give a different answer) .

There is one special monastery in Wuhan. It is the Guiyuan Si Budhist monastery and it's a couple of streets southwest of Cuiweiheng Lu, behind the Hanyang bus station. The entrance fee is 20Y and it's open daily from 8.30 am to 5pm. It has a rare scripture collection containing seven thousand volumes of the rare Longcan Sutra, that made Guiyuan famous among the Buddhist circles.
